You'll notice I haven't posted any Lambourghini pics. I'll tell you why: they may look good and go fast, but they are the most uncomfortable cars I've ever been in! :( They are loud, cramped, stiff seated, and have the bumpiest ride of any sports car I've been in. So looks aren't everything. ;) Wait a minute, more bumpy than a Viper ? Or a Jeep C-J5...? Yep. They're just awful! Either they never heard of shock absorbers or they figure the roughest ride is "part of the thrill". Go Figure. LOL Actually it is springs that reduce the harsh bumps. However if you have springs, you need shock absorbers to maintain control (worn shocks allow the car to rock several times after a bump - no shocks means that the car keeps rocking for several minutes after a bump). If a car has a harsh ride, the springs and the shocks are stiff for the weight (Lambourghini, empty dump truck). If it floats like a boat (Cadilac) the springs and shocks are a bit weak for the weight. Ahhh! Thanks for explaining this, John. I feel I understand all this much better now. Well then, the shocks are very stiff on Lambourghinis, which makes for a very harsh ride. ;) Car was runing just FINE at 150 MPH and still pulling strong !
