Since the latest version, one of my PC suffers from the following problem.
After a period of time the task setiathome4.03 is halted for no apparent reason. The task is not in the running anymore and not visible in the task manager. Thus the crunching just stops.
No errors are reported in the logfiles
I do have 2 machines crunching, one a desktop with windows XP Professional SP2 never stop crunching. The laptop, windows XP Home SP2, stops every night.

I am seeing the same problem with BOINC 4.07, Setiathome client 4.03, on WinME.

Hi J.D., good input, at least we can now assume that it seems not dependant of the OS.

I'm getting something similar with 4.05, similar symptoms anyhow, but without the messages in the log. See the link below for more details.

The two projects was both preempted and nothing more appends.

I am running BOINC 4.05 on Win 2000
