5/13/2007 10:16:47 AM|SETI@home|Requesting 60480 seconds of new work I've seen this mentioned somewhere else in the forums, You might want to have a search around. I think the problem is the extra "-1" at the end of the application version string. EDIT. Try this. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=39381 |

It's a BOINC Alpha problem which seems to have first appeared in 5.9.7 and should be fixed in 5.9.10.Joe IIRC there was also something mentioned on the boinc_alpha list about the earlier versions with the problem putting something in client_state.xml which caused it to persist in fixed versions. I haven't been following the discussion closely enough to be certain, but perhaps an uninstall and clean install of 5.9.10 is needed. I hope one of the official Alpha testers can provide more reliable information. Joe |

It's a BOINC Alpha problem which seems to have first appeared in 5.9.7 and should be fixed in 5.9.10.Joe Just a project reset should clear things up. If not then a detach and reattach would be in order. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |

5/13/2007 10:16:47 AM|SETI@home|Requesting 60480 seconds of new work Yep. I've been getting that. I eventually tracked it down to the app_info.xml file for the anonymous platform. Berkeley have added a <platform> parameter. If it's not there, you get that error. The fix is to add the appropriate line for your platform after the <version_num> line(s). In my case, it was: ... <version_num>512</version_num> <platform>x86_64-pc-linux-gnu</platform> ... The correct string to use should be the one in the error message. A restart of boinc and all was well for me. :) Be lucky Neil |

5/13/2007 10:16:47 AM|SETI@home|Requesting 60480 seconds of new work I have same problem. I Use Chicken app 2.2B, Windows XP 32bit, Pentium4 3.20GHz. Please, may you write a little more detailed where and what I should change in app_info.xml file in my case. Thanks a lot in advance! |

I have same problem. I Use Chicken app 2.2B, Windows XP 32bit, Pentium4 3.20GHz. I don't run Windows so I don't know the exact string to put in that line but the error message you get should tell you that. Then just add the <platform>....</platform> line after every occurrance of <version_num>....</version_num> in the app_info.xml file. Be lucky Neil |
