Hi everyone. A while back a migrated the accounts on an old iBook to a Mac Book. After receiving an email from SETI, I reactivated my account. I gave the ibook to my daughter and since it is on 24/7, I decided to upgrade Boinc and get it crunching (MacBook was already crunching). This has resulted on both the iBook and the MacBook having the same Computer ID. If I look at Computers on this account page, whichever machine communicated last is the one that shows up. No credits missing they're just being bundled together. So instead of having say 5 computers active in Rosetta, I only have 4. Anyone know how I can straighten this out? FWIW Seti page shows all five computers correctly. TIA Nora |

I haven’t seen anything like that before, and as you say your account here looks fine: five hosts, each with a unique ID. I recommend that you ask at the project where the anomaly is happeningâ€â€you’re seeing the duplication at Rosetta@home, right? Off the top of my head I would suggest setting Rosetta to “No new tasks†(on either computer, or even both), wait until its tasks are finished, Update one last time if any haven’t been reported yet, then Detach and reattach to the project. With any luck that will get a new ID issued for the host without disturbing other projects. Take that with a grain of salt, seek a second opinion, and good luck! |

Thanks for the input. Problem finally resolved. I renamed computers that were having problems, updated projects and was issued new ids. Now all projects are reporting correctly. |
