i just got my new computer to make it last a long time what the best cpu% to set at the computer is a
Visionman Dual-Core Intel Pentium D 945 3.4GHz / 1GB DDR2 / 250GB SATA-II HDD / 18X DVD±RW Dual-Layer / NVIDIA 7300GS 512MB / Gigabit LAN / Windows XP Pro / Workstation
and i have 2 more gb of ram coming thanks and have a goodone

That depends on the cooling system in the case. If it was well built, 100% is best. If the system was poorly designed, a lesser setting will be required.

You could always try running it at 100% and if you start getting errors, you could always reduce it by 10% until the errors go away.

If it is a laptop, you might want to consider starting at 50% and watching the CPU temp. If it is cool enough, increase slowly until it gets to near the max acceptable temp.

Desktops tgend to have better cooling, and I would start the other direction. Start at 100% and if it is too hot, reduce.

Most CPUs and MOBOs nowadays have some method of reporting the CPU temperature.

ok thanks for the help
i think its got like 4 fans in the case
and a big fan on the cpu i was just checking becouse i have to keep
this one for some times soon as i get my other fast computer running
im just going to use it for this have a goodone
