Ok, my screen saver was working perfectly, now it just goes to blank screen. To get out of the screen saver, i have to three finger salute and manually stop the .scr process. Anyideas?

Novel idea! Now i can just rely on the knowledge that i'm doing something good for the world.. who cares about the conversational peice.

Sorry for the sarcasm everyone else. I will run Boinc even if i can't use the screen saver like i am now. I would just like to have the screen saver as a conversational peice.

Screen saver does slow down processing, as being currently discussed here.

As for the blank screen, something must have changed to cause it to stop working. Maybe a graphics driver issue?

Maybe also a re-install of boinc caused it? (it happens)

I thought it would be, but i can hit the show graphics button and view what would be in the screen saver that way.

The fact that the .scr program is crashing is whats interesting me. Its like the .scr can't talk to boinc.

Use Simon's cruncher. It may double your output like it has done mine. If you do, the pretty graph tray will be replaced by a jumping Boinc star, with progress readout. Not responsible for problems or damage done by any change or attempt.
