Hello there fellow crunchers <waves>

Those crunchers who have been around a while will instantly recognise the name, "The Crunchy Hog" - a Seti farm stack built in the time before Boinc and the inspiration to many other farms.

Earlier this year, BobW the man behind the Crunchy Hog passed away from a heart attack. BobW was a member of TeamPhoenixRising and first unleashed the hog here

This year a select view members of TPR are going to complete the Plymouth-Banjul challenge. 3800miles of hard hard driving. Why so hard, well we couldn't do it in a normal vehicle could we ? Meet 'Tigger' at http://www.tiggerstravels.net/?page=about

One of our chosen charities for our efforts is the British Heart Foundation, chosen out of respect for BobW. So please have a look, visit our donations page and help us reach our sponsorship target. There are plenty of ways to help us - sponsor the British Heart Foundation (registered charity no225971) or sponsor our own costs towards completing the challenge, in return for logo space on Tigger.

There is even a raffle you have the chance to win a new cruncher, or a hovercraft experience (uk only) all with items donated by the forum members of Team Phoenix Rising.

Please, please, please help us acheive our goals.

Many thanks,

DoubleTop

Bob's farm was awesome, beautifully made and an absolutely cracking cruncher. Myself and others in TPR truly miss Bob and as a mark of respect have donated cash and goods to help towards building Tigger for the trip.

If any of you other SETI crunchers can help, all donations will be gratefully received and the money going to the British Heart Foundation will help save lives in the future. Thanks guys!

Not just the British Heart Foundation, our trip helps out a British hospital unit in dire need of cash (aren't they all) and local charities in the Gambia our destination. We're funding this trip out of our own pockets, please help us to help someone somewhere.

win yourself a new cruncher in a raffle (amongst some other great prizes) and no takers ? Not a single donation from 180 views ? Come on Crunchers, show your support for the efforts being made !!!

**update time**

Tiggers progess is coming along nicely and I have heard whispers that our support vehicle can now really be called Pooh ...

I'll find out tomorrow when I take a trip to Poohs home.

Tigger is now exhausted :) The time is getting close and we are pushing real hard on our sponsor efforts as we finalise things for the trip.

Our chosen charities need your help - and a chance for a new cruncher whilst donating to the cause.

Some new pictures for you all to admire of the vehicle http://tiggerstravels.net/

Good luck to Tigger.

I'm sorry I can't donate more money for Tigger, but Seti/AP/Beta is in dire straits financially at the moment.
