If you were to have the opportunity to take part in a live on-line question & answer session with Dr David Anderson & others, would you like to take part ?

You would ?

Well. BOINC UK and Team Lookers have arranged exactly that with Dr Anderson & colleagues. A live, on-line question & answer session where YOU get the chance to put your questions to them.

As you will agree, this is a unique opportunity which has not been available before.

For your chance to be on the live panel of BOINC participants you need to register here. This page also contains the conditions of eligibility. The panel has a limited number of places so you must register to be eleigible for the draw. Your email addresses will not be released to any third party under any circumstances.

The session will also be released as a podcast and mp3.

Places will be allocated by way of a draw from those who correctly answer three BOINC and BOINC project related questions. The draw will will be made in the last week of November 2006. It will be made up of 6 sub draws each of which will be allocated to a geographic area of the world as per United Nations boundaries. The number of places allocated to each geographic area will be based upon the number of participants from those six areas according to the BOINC UK stats database. Each area will, however, get one place as a minimum. A reserve candidate will be drawn from each area and held on a reserve list. If sufficient resources are available the number of participants may be increased by drawing additional candidates.

The conference will be recorded and the edited highlights made available for Podcast to the entire BOINC community and beyond from the BOINC UK web site.

If you would like to enter the competition and have that opportunity to answer the three questions then register here from 5 October 2006 onwards. You will be alerted to the question availability by email. Other reminders and adverts will appear on project boards during the run up to the deadline for answer submissions. In the event there are fewer registrants than places avaialable then the draw will be cancelled.

The current state of those registered seems to indicate that those of you from the South Americas and Far East are a little slow in coming forward. We are looking for a truly global participation in this session, and I am sure you have just as many questions as everybody else.
You will be talking directly to the people who are on the inside and, as our interview has shown, there is a lot of information to be had if you ask the right questions.
So, don`t be shy, get yourself registered

We now have a list of dates when David, Matt, Rom and Eric are available and are in the process of organising the most suitable date for all concerned. There is still the opportunity to register and be in with your chance to ask your questions. We shall shortly be closing the registration page and the process of selecting those to sit on the conference will commence. All registrants will be contacted very shortly in order to confirm that they still wish to take part.
