...that I can link my classic account to my new account. I just got a new PC after a few years and wiped the old one. As everyone knows you did not need a password in the classic client so I have no idea what the password was and even thought the email account is still valid in BOINC (I checked) the email account was a secretservices.net account, which was cool back in 96/97 but does not exist anymore so I cant get the password sent to me. I'm sure lots of people have asked this question so sorry for getting you guys to repeat yourselves!

Thanks guys

Do you know the password you used in Classic? Do you have the same emaill address as when you crunched Classic? If no to both then you are probably out of luck. Click on my name on the left, you will see a line that shows my Classic contributions, that is all you would get if you did find the info. Classic units were counted different than Boinc units and the credits are not combined, everyone start at zero in Boinc.

I have a similar problem: I have been a seti@home member since 2001, but due to a forced change of address (both home and email), as well as losing my internet connection for 15 months, I am listed as a new member. Is there someone or someway I can get the previous credits (yes, I know the old email, and even have the old seti acct key logged) added to my new account? I had processed >250 units before Seti moved to boinc, and several more afterwards.
I also was running climatepredictor, and einstein@home once the move to boinc was completed. the credit for work units processed at that time has also been, to all intents and purposes lost.
Sorry for he long-winded message, but details included now do make the reply more accurate (even given the chance that it may be negative).
