It would be useful if one could retrieve old account information without the password and original computer which ran the program. My old email address is no longer valid, I have my account email but don't recall the password. Similarly, the original computer that this ran on is also long gone, hence I can't get the information from there. |

I too have this same issue. I ran the old Seti classic for a very long time, then took a short break for a year to work on another work-related project. When I came back, I had no way to access my old results, couldn't add them to my current ones, can find no-one to ask about it such as an administrator, and, similiarly, have no clue what my old password is. Hmmmm. |

Same for me, and no way to get an email off to an administrator? Sometimes you just need to ask http://boinc.berkeley.edu/contact.php There are many many threads though with ways to get your Boinc account working. ALL Classic accounts were transferred over to Boinc years ago. If you didn't join Classic until near the end your account probably was not transferred over, otherwise it is already here. Have any of you guys tried here yet? http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/sah_email_form.php |

Yes, tried that! Problem is you still need you old password. Do you still have Classic on your computer? If so there is a file in there that you can send to Berkeley that they can use to find out your password. Go back to the beginning of this group and do a search, you must press the search button, pressing enter will not work! I think Ageless was the one that was posting about it. David Anderson has helped people in the past, don't know if he still does. For a while there everyone and his brother was emailing him, so he may have stopped helping people. No work gets done, and the project stalls for everyone if the main people do nothing but respond to emails. |
