Why I need to buy MSVC to compile on Win32 ?

Seems to me that we need to buy MSVC co compile the BOINC client on Win32 platform. BOINC is an open source project. It would be very nice if we mustn't buy nothing to use it starting from the source. |

MSVC is the tool used by the developers. If you do not want to help with the development, there should be no need to do anything but download the executables that have already been compiled for you. If you do want to help with the development, then you should use the tools that the developers chose. |
