Who?

What?

Where?

When?

Why?

When you find the answers these questions... You'll come to realize that you've been duped...

Give it time... The truth ALWAYS comes out in the end... ;)

HOORAH!!!

Call your broker guys, the Dow Jones is gonna be UP!

The dow increased slightly then dropped 114 points. 11;40 EDT

Stocks Stage Dramatic Rebound

"The Dow industrials gained 7.92 points to close at 10938.82, rebounding from a decline of more than 170 points as investors juggled interest-rate fears and turmoil in overseas markets. Oil prices dropped on news of Zarqawi's death." :-p

Yes, oil prices dropped, but don't relate that to the rebound in stock prices. Oil had been down further at the same time that the Dow had its biggest losses, and according to MONEY.CNN.COM "Stocks got a much-needed boost in the final hour or so of trading after the White House raised its forecast for economic growth this year to 3.6 percent, up from its 3.4 percent forecast in December." So it wasn't Zarqawi's death (and the resulting drop in oil) that boosted stocks (a very small overall boost), as much as new economic forecast numbers.

Gee.....I heard the price per barrel of oil dropped in conjunction with this news.

Am I sick too because I'm happy that I'll get to save a few pennies at the pump?

Face it people, we live in a global economy. Someone is always making or losing money with every turn of events.....you would have been better off saying it makes YOU sick that you didn't get to cash in this time.

Here's one for you. Nobody cares what YOU think.

Then I guess I just "imagined" YOU responding.....'tard.

I think that's a correct analysis of what happened on the market today, Tom. The boost that I anticpitated didn't materialize today. But neither was the 113 point drop mentioned by CA this morning on account of Zarqawi's death.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was alive and made a move to escape when U.S. troops reached the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq, mortally wounded in an American bombing raid, a U.S. general said on Friday.

"We were not aware yesterday that in fact, Zarqawi was alive when U.S. forces arrived on the site," Maj. Gen. William Caldwell, the spokesman for the U.S. military in Baghdad, told Fox News.

Iraqi police had arrived on the scene of Wednesday's bomb attack first and put Zarqawi on a stretcher, Caldwell said. The U.S. forces arrived later and identified Zarqawi, who died shortly after.

"He was conscious initially according to the U.S. forces that physically saw him. He obviously had some kind of visual recognition of who they were because he attempted to roll off the stretcher, as I am told, and get away, realizing it was U.S. military," Caldwell said.

No animals were harmed in the making of the above post... much.

No, you are right, the drop of the Dow was not related to his death either.

Day 2: Abu Al Zarqawi is still dead (for all you who think this is a hoax or a conspiracy). More details about the operation have emerged.
