Yea its good if you pretty much want to race in straight lines, I am a canyon carver :) The middle of my tires are pretty much new but the sides are almost bold from scraping knee all the time.

yeah, I agree...the R1 wins hands down on the twisties, but the Busa walks all over everything in the 1/4 miler.

Well I wouldnt say walks all over, there is about 1 second difference between the two which isnt alot if you think about it but you have to remember that it mostly depends on the rider.

Did you hear about Suzuki's concept Hayabusa? 570 bhp. 1500cc super charged.

570 is stupid. Nobody needs that kind of power. They also will reportedly be asking close to 25K for the bike.

They would almost certainly have to extend the frame...how the heck do you tame 570 ponies into not sending you end-over-end?

A Horse, A Chicken& A Harley

On the farm lived a chicken and a horse,

both of whom loved to play together.

One day the two were playing, when the

horse fell into a bog and began to sink.

Scared for his life, the horse whinnied for the chicken to go get the
farmer for help!

Off the chicken ran, back to the farm. Arriving at the farm, he searched

and searched for the farmer, but to no avail, for he had gone to town
with the only tractor.

Running around, the chicken spied the farmer's new Harley.

Finding the keys in the ignition, the chicken sped off with a length of
rope hoping he still had time to save his friend's life.

Back at the bog, the horse was surprised, but happy, to see the chicken
arrive on the shiny Harley, and he managed to
get a hold of the loop of rope the chicken tossed to him.

After tying the other end to the rear bumper of th e farmer's bike,
the chicken then drove slowly forward and, with the aid of
the powerful bike, rescued the horse!

Happy and proud, the chicken rode the Harley back to the farmhouse, and
the farmer was none the wiser when he returned.

The friendship between the two animals was cemented: Best Buddies, Best
Pals.

A few weeks later, the chicken fell into a mud pit, and soon, he too,
began to sink and cried out to the horse to save his life!

The horse thought a moment, walked over, and straddled the large puddle.

Looking underneath, he told the chicken to grab his hangy-down thing and

he would then lift him out of the pit.

The chicken got a good grip, and the horse pulled him up and out, saving

his life.

The moral of the story? (yep, you betcha, there IS a moral!)

When You're Hung Like A Horse, You Don't Need A Harley To Pick Up
Chicks!

Too bad it will probably never come into the states doing over 186 MPH from Suzuki. I'm having flashbacks of the ZX12 now with the ZX14 about that very same 186 MPH thing.

For me it's not about how fast but that's all that G.P. (general public) want to bitch about. With all manufacturers wanting to claim the top speed war, that it won't do faster than that speed (thanks to dot). Not to mention the big R6 redline fiasco this year.

I didn't think I had a picture of my obligatory liter bike killer but here it is, hehe.....

Yeah I got a big chuckle out of that problem with the R6..Yama did do their customers right though with the buy-back offer on the scoots. I wonder what made them think it would do 17K ?

Ah, the marvel of the engineering minds at Yamaha. Slip of the mouse at the computer. It’s just like them to re-invent the BNG. Just change it to BND.

If the manufacturers are in a bind I’m sure any of them would do some thing. We only had one guy bring his back. I think that it’s hard for people to use the full potential of the modern sport bike of today. But they are still selling, just not at the rate they once was. People don’t understand that most bikes don’t make peak hp up to the damn thing anyway. For the most part engines are made so that most of the peak hp is usually 1k or 1.5k below that little line and anything past that and you are just wasting time. Now if you are racing, and got extra goodies inside, that’s a different story.

I can't decide which one of these bikes is more awesome, the Deuce or the Tejas. I wouldn't mind having both of them.

Deuce

Tejas

They truly are. If I had to choose based on a photo, I'd have to go with this one. Otherwise I'd choose the Tejas simply because of the irresistible shiny black and silver combo.

I rather went to the dark side yesterday, I picked up a brand new '06 GoldWing fully loaded....I pick it up later in the week because I am adding some extras to it...6 CD changer, better arm rests, fog lamps, alarm and stuff like that. My wife told me to chill on buying bikes...there is no more room in the garage.

here it is:

That look real comfy comfy Michael.

The Deuce and Tejas look bad indeed but they also look badd for your spine.
Any hardtail riders around ?

I'd have to go with the Tejas, if only for the ZZ Top song.
