How about snapping a digital Photo of the Seti@home server setup and the New Snap Appliance 18000, then put them on the website.

So is this a picture of the server going into a crematorium?

The production deployment of this project is a text book case of how not to release software. It seems the project manager (if there is one) forgot that after development there is performance tuning, load testing, stabilization, back up and recovery processes, quality of service levels, etc. that should be established and met before rolling out something to a large user base. So the result of not doing the deployment steps after development, generally, is a lot of frustrated developers trying to do ad hoc deployment steps, upset users, and a totally bad reputation spreading like wildfire about the entire effort.

Sorry we could only find one taken before the "Snap Appliance" upgrade. This photo was taken at the very moment when BOINC went live/public on 22nd June 2004.

It shows the BOINC's project manger proudly pointing to the amazing and technologically advanced BOINC server. This certainly is a precious moment in the history of mind kind. To be remembered for eternity!

backup! there are full backups and incremental backups.
Millions of companies are used to do it every day many times

In der IT Brache währt Ihr Eure jobs schon lange los.

I also had a post that seems to have found its way to /dev/null.

Here is a picture of their new database storage:

And this is no 'picture from the archives'! Snapped that at work last week.
