Let me get one started:

SETI says: "We will post progress as we go."
Means: 3 days from now we'll tell you what happened.

SETI says: "We hope... later today or early tomorrow."
Means: 3 days from now...

SETI says: "We found and fixed..."
Means: Somethings about to break that'll take 3 days to fix.

SETI says: "..., after thats done the project should return to normal"
Means: 3 days from now we'll have a 8 hour window of 'normal'

SETI says: "Additional outages may ocur throughout the night and possibly tomorrow."
Means: We'll tell you what else went wrong... in about 3 days.

Yea, I know, I'm givin' ya'll a lot of grief. All the addicted crunchers really need is just a bit more frequent status updates and re-estimates when things don't go as you planned, instead of... you guessed it... 3 days later... LOL

BTW, I'll bet the Predictor @ home guys love all this extra crunching they're getting ;-)
