Hi!

I have been searching for a post similar to my problem to no avail, so, alas, I will have to post - but feel free to set me straight should you locate a solution in someone else's post.

I have been running BOINC for a month now, starting with 3.19 (I think).
It has been working fine until a week or so ago, when it refused to load: When executing it, it will appear in the icon tray but will disappear as soon as I point my mouse on it.

I am running Windows XP SP1 - with all the currect Windows Updates. In fact, I am wondering if it was the last Windows update that caused all the mess.

My stderr.txt file reads:

***UNHANDLED EXCEPTION****
Reason: Access Violation (0xc0000005) at address 0x00420808 read attempt to address 0x00000158

1: 08/08/04 14:17:10
1: SymGetLineFromAddr(): GetLastError = 126

Would appreciate solutions to my problem - I AM LOSING WORK HOURS HERE! ;)

I'm not sure if this is the exact problem, because your BOINC works well for a month. In my system it dont function from the beginning.
Anyway try also to read this past post:
