on the old seti sceensaver it told where the data had come from usually arecibo on the new bionic one it does'nt.???? why not

The BOINC S@H application shows where the data came from, just like the old one...

The screensaver itself displays the information about where the information is from in the same location as the old one did.

The top figures in the top right of the graphics window shows the exact position that Arecibo was pointing at when the signal was recorded. (I think.)

no it does'nt, all it shows is the date it was aquired does not mention where it came from

They come from the workunit. If you run a program like BioncLogX (under windows) it will log the position of the WU and then SETI@home-MapView can display the positions of all the WU's you have crunched on a skymap.

You should be able to find links to the programs I mentioned on this page.
