i've been running boinc on my 2 machines connected by LAN. few days ago i upgraded boinc version to 5,22 on computer which i want to control from the 'master' host where is boinc v4,68. unfortunatelly i can't connect to that host, because boinc v5.22 is requesting password, which i dont know. before i had upgraded it, i could fill in only ip adress and click ok button.

Go to the Boinc folder look for this file, GUI RPC auth, open with word pad and delete the numbers, then enter your own PW and save...... So there is no longer a provision to go without a password? Entering nothing in the password file results in the same failure error. ____________
