On the one hand, there haven't been 5 million signed up here yet; in fact, even at the "classic" SETI project, there were only about a half million active users. On the other hand, I have five computers running BOINC, and they each tried to download 8-10 "units".

I started downloading units quickly after the site came back up, and I got some work to do, but now there is no longer any work available.

Its also what happens when a service drys up and starts again.. You get the first major surge then the short delay as different computers slowly grab work units... just keep trying and slowly but surely you should be able to recieve work units!

There are less than 26,000 users on the new SETI/BOINC project as of today.

then why does seti classic states post this?
Your rank out of 5070185 total users is: 22748th place.
The number of users who have this rank: 5
You have completed more work units than 99.551% of our users.

Because that is how many accts there are, not how many are active, I have three over there and I was only using 1. If you look under computers in your acct you will see you have 6 computers listed, you must have detached a few time to get that or do you have 6 computers.... if not you should merge them..

1) That's for the CLASSIC S@H, not the new SETI/BOINC project. That statement says NOTHING about the new SETI/BOINC project.
and
2) That is the TOTAL number of accounts that EVER turned in 1 or more work units on that project. MANY, MANY people turned in just a few units then quit. If you stuck around for 100 units, you were already ahead of a LOT of the "quitters". Even before the new project started, the old one didn't have more than 500,000 --active-- users still turning in units. And the new project does not YET have very many people turning in units; less than 26,000 actually have 1 or more credits.
