Yes like many no workunits for days already, but now .... BOINC tries to upload a workunit (takes ages) and I get a BOINC message 'Secure desktop detected, this is not supported' on my screensaver, while Win XP PRO checks out my account and I have to sign in again. Never have seen this before. Anyone?

Funny thing is.... I changed nothing in my config or running programs. This feature just happened...
I think I don't like BOINC very much ;-)

I had this same issue, and when I turned off password protection on the screen saver it stopped giving me that message. What difference does the password protection make to the screensaver?

I think password protection gives you a protected desktop ;-)
I found mine meanwhile. 2 settings were changed, withouth my interfering. First at screensaver properties 'Show welcome screen' was checked and second BOINC was in Suspend mode. Both of which I did *not* do. I think we've imported gremlins with BOINC ;-)

Try right clicking on the desktop, choose properties, choose tab screensaver and see if you have password protection marked there. Unmark.
See if there is in the same tab an option, I don't remember the precize phrasing, for a logon for users. Unmark that as well.
