Hi everyone !

I was just checking the statistcs os my computers when I noticec something odd: one of them has a "recent average credit" of 110.06 and a "Total credit" is 56.16 How is it possible that "total credit" be smaller than "average credit" ?? Or am I missing something ??

An imperfect analogy is related to the speed and distance traveled in a car.

If you travel at 60 Miles per hour for 30 minutes, you have gone 30 miles.

Now think of RAC as the speed and total credit as the distance.

Recent average credit is a rough speedometer of your ability to crunch over a given unit of time. Is this a new machine?

What you're seeing is like driving 60 miles per hour for half an hour... your speed was 60mph but you only covered 30 miles.
No animals were harmed in the making of the above post... much.

Nah, I believe that we were just quoting the same older post (or maybe it has made it into the WIKI).

Well, the exact quote did not make it, but the analogy did. I forget where it came from or who made the first use of it as an example.

All I am sure of is that it was not me ...

Was it JM7? Or mmciastro?
I'm not sure... but it was some time ago. And I can't find it with either one of the search routines.

OK OK I admit it. It was me who stated it, then Paul took it (thief). But, I didn't originate it, as I took it from someone else. then I think JM7 in the next post stated who it was I took it from. The original has to be nearly a year old.
