Just yesterday I discovered the new SETI@HOME setup and downloaded BOINC. I now have both Classic and BOINC running concurrently. My Activity Monitor show Classic is using much more processor time than BOINC.

I assume I should leave both of them running until the SETI folks turn off Classic. Is that a correct assumption?

You can get away with it on a dual processor system since classic will only use one of them (a little more with graphics running), but expect BOINC to run a lot slower since BOINC runs at a low priority. On my DP G5, BOINC runs about a third normal speed with classic running, so I'm using classic as my screen saver with BOINC running always in the background. On a single processor system classic will use nearly everything available and leave BOINC with almost no run time at all.
