BOINC version 3.19 seems to accelerate the Date&Time clock in my WinXP 2.66 MHz Pentium 4 to the tune of 5 seconds per minute. I check the accuracy of this clock against 4 SNTP sources. When I pause BOINC the clock remains accurate to wihtin .1 seconds per minute. Is this a bug?

Try upgrading to Boinc 3.20 and see if that helps. Bugs were fixed in this latest version. You'll also find that it work much smoother now, instead of causing a long delay while it updates the messages screens.

Thanks. BOINC 3.20 seems to have ameliorated the problem to some 3 seconds per minute, but this might as well be related to something else. I'll do some more testing.
Meanwhile I'll stop BOINC and sync the clock before doing time-critical work.
