With the previous BOINC version, and now 4.43, my set preferences are not honored. It is not supposed to run SETTI or Einstein while I am using the computer, but Activity Monitor shows that both are running!!

How do I get my preferences to work?

I have been using OS 10.4.0,1&2 with no change in behavior.
