You´ll ask now "why"? Because this BOINC crap does not support my OS. When Seti Classic will have been ended, I can´t go on crunching. But I´ll proceed if anybody compile/create a client for BeOS/Zeta, including a GUI and supporting caches like SETiBe, see here: http://www.bebits.com/app/3085. SETiBe does NOT include the client itself, it´s just a GUI with capabilities like SetiStash. Sorry, I don´t know how to make an own client for my platform, as it is described here: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/anonymous_platform.php I´m just a user, not a programmer. Furthermore: Where are my WUs? On my new BOINC account only 705 classic WUs are shown, but last time when sending packets to the server it says (via CLI) I already got 796 (and getting more and more...). I know, on my classic account web site there is only a snapshot by 15.Mar.´05 (or sth. like that), but there only are shown 760 WUs. So, where are my missing 36 WUs? (796-760=36) greetz, Piepsi |

Think yourself lucky when I transfered onto the new system I did'nt get a single work unit transfered over. I have to admit that I am less than impressed with the new system! Be proud! Be a Steam Roller driver! |

As for the BEOS there may be someone working on a port (and then again, there may not either). The code for both the BOINC framework and the S@H application is open source, and anyone with a C++ compiler and a little OS knowledge should be able to do the port. There is more information on the BOINC page. I wish you luck on your quest for a client. BOINC WIKI |
