Hi - I am getting no love from BManager and Screensaver - on an iBook G4 system 10.3.8. When I click on the Manager, nothing happens - nothing at all. When I try to select the Screensaver, I get 'error: can't load bundle' Any ideas why this is happening? |

The only thing I can say is that until I upgraded to 10.3.9 , boinc did not play well with any of my Mac's. Boinc with seti version 4.18 let the sreensaver finally work. One other thing, being on a iBook, under preferences, on your account page, there is an option, to not have work be done, when your iBook is on battery power. This maybe something that is stopping boinc from starting. |

Well, boinc has been running fine for me for a while. I only just tried updating to the new Boinc Manager and Screensaver. Neither runs, nor does Boinc MenuBar... So something is up. The only thing I can say is that until I upgraded to 10.3.9 , boinc did not play well with any of my Mac's. |

I didn't get much either, the manager and screensaver are running but after having got like 3 packets, it's been idle for days now (G5 with 1.4.1), sending requests but not getting any answer. just nothing like the good old seti@home :( At the beginning there was nothing, which exploded. ~ Terry Pratchett ~ |

The simple solution is to upgrade your OS to at least 10.3.9 or higher. According to the information under "version details" on the BOINC download page: "File (click to download) boinc_4.43_macOSX.zip (1.64 MB) Version number 4.43 Release date 21 May 2005 Installer type Advanced GUI Known problems BOINC no longer works on Mac OS 10.2 and requires 10.3.9 or higher." What the bottom sentence really means is that BOINC Manager needs 10.3.9 or higher - BOINC running as CLI under Terminal works just fine, even for the earlier version of OS 10.3.x.
