In looking at this list:
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/top_users.php?sort_by=expavg_credit&offset=500

which is sorted by RAC,

I've noticed that something is very odd.

The last figure on this chart (#520) shows a user with an RAC of 1215.30. Hitting "Next 20" shows #521 with an RAC of 964.6. Top of next page (#541) has a value of 1,092.85

I sure this weirdness has nothing to do with the current problems (up/down loads stuck) but I thought I'd bring it to your attention as possible symptom of some other problem.

Thank you.

A slight change now, #520 have RAC 1215 while #521 have RAC 1247.

But, if you takes a close look in lower right corner, it shows "Generated 30 Jun 2005 13:32:15 UTC" for page with #520, while #521 shows "Generated 30 Jun 2005 15:12:38 UTC". To not load and recalculate position from database for each time someone is accessing the page, they're being generated when 1st one looks at them, and afterwards cached for further use until another looks at them and they're N hours old and is re-generated.

Don't know how many hours they're cached, but different regeneration-times is the reason for the inconsistencies.

I must reassert that there is something wrong with this list.

There are people missing from it.

I'm missing from it and I should be on it.

I have searched the entire list and my name is conspicuously missing.

Well, isn't THAT interesting!

Thanks to whoever fixed it. It wasn't there when I posted my message.
