good old seti classic... June 21, 2005 We turned off the ability to create new SETI@home classic accounts. All new users should download and use the BOINC version of SETI@home instead. fortunately i just crossed over 15,000 wu's and gaining on #9 in my registration class. you know i'll miss looking at the class rankings... seeing if i gained another ranking... easter of 2004 i had only 2400 wu's... after an extensive building plan..i now have 15200 wu's. i doubt if i'll add any more to my farm... i wonder how much business Seti created for the online parts dealers like Newegg and etc.. |

The clock is ticking. Prepare for chaos and pandemonium in the forums! ;) A warm welcome to those who are making the big leap over though. |

A warm welcome to those who are making the big leap over though. Hey, thanks. I appreciate that. I was a little upset at first, but I'm over it. I wish there was some way that Seti could have sort of "equalized" a Cobblestone against a Classic WU, but after having been reminded of the cheating, I figured it would all be ok. I'll get to the 99.963 % rank in BOINC just like I did at Classic. Yes, yes I will. |

"I know I spent my share of a few thousand to keep up." boy, ain't that the truth... i did my first 2400 wu's on a Pentium II 400mhz... took almost five years to get 2400... took one year to add 12,800 to it... i love Durons...lol $40 chip $40 on a board i think newegg should have a "frequent buyer program" lol man the points i'd have i'd be knee deep in a dualcore by now.. |

good old seti classic... Class rankings are available for BOINC so you can watch if your gaining or not against the same people in your class who have moved over to BOINC. The detailed stats are available as add-ons maintained by dedicated volunteers. There are several stats sites, I use BOINC stats at http://www.boincstats.com/ Search on your nickname under a project and then look for "Link to position in Sign-up date stats". There you will find your old class mates! |

quoting myself, "fortunately i just crossed over 15,000 wu's and gaining on #9 in my registration class." quoting John Lennon, "...number nine, number nine, number nine..." woooohooooooooooooo! now if classic will just hold on for another 38 days...lol #8.....but i don't think so... oh well, new playgrounds, new challenges! |

now if classic will just hold on for another 38 days...lol I'm trying to get to that 50K mark myself. I am all for sending New Egg an e-mail to get them to start a frequent buyer program! All the business I have given them and others in the last 5 years that's the least they could do. IAS - Where Space Is Golden! |

Hi, I have now added the ability to view a user's registration class at http://boinc.mundayweb.com/stats. Simply choose "Search" and enter your name. Then choose from the search results and click "View Registration Class" after selecting one of the results. For example, here's my Seti registration class. Regards, Neil Munday http://boinc.mundayweb.com |

Hi, Don't like those registration class positions. I went from 9th to 28th position in class. Too many people with 20k results. I need half a year to get back to where I was with the ones who stopped crunching put in. |
