One of my clients (just transitioned to BOINC from classic) is stuck at a status of "Downloading" despite many things up to and including rebooting. The machine sees the network fine and gets prefs and so on. Screen saver says "No work available". There is a 361,806 byte file of the same name (less the _3 postfix) in the projects\\setiathome.berkeley.edu\\ folder.

Is this thing supposed to wedged like this? How do I get it unwedged or will it eventually unwedge itself?

"while"--like days? It's been there for hours--probably the better part of the day--now.

I had that same problem. Just uninstall the program and reinstall it. You could also try resetting the project, but I don't think I tried that.

I had the same problem and did either a detach from project and it cleared it. Reset might have worked also.

A project reset will normally fix this problem. Reinstalls and reattaches are overkill.

It is nice to give BOINC a little time to fix this itself as long as you are able to get work that is actually running.

Reset worked--though it was a little hard to find; I know about r-click, there are lots of computer users I've seen who do not. I didn't have any work running, so I figure I'd let it stay wedged long enough.

Thanks!
