With "Leave applications in memory while preempted?" set to yes Boinc 4.43 is still mixing up projects. I now have the case of the einstein client sometimes not resuming, but staying inactive. When it is active CPU-time and Percentage is attributed to the suspended Seti-WU. To make things worse: when Seti is resumed not the seti client always stays inactive, but the einstein-client ist started |

This is a new "feature" of 4.43. BOINC decides which WU's to run based on project-determined deadlines, not necessarily based on your preferences. Then they came up with a complex scheme to try and level this all out, but it's a nightmare IMO. For example, projects accumulate "debt" if they don't run for a while, and BOINC will stop downloading new WU's for a project if it feels that it has been given too much time in order to satisfy deadlines. I uninstalled 4.43 and went back to 4.25. It automatically switches between projects every 2 hours just like I have specified in my preferences. Hope this helps. --- bt |

This is not a new "feature" of version 4.43. I already observed this behaviour 4.32 before the new schduler was implemented. See: Boinc not suspending projects properly and mixing them up The boinc core claims to resume the suspendend seti WU but instead the einstein@home client starts working. |
