Sorry for spamming the seti-forum, but I am not familiar with the folding@home ones. How is it possible, that a workunit at folding is only worth 28 credits if it took me some 10 hours, while it takes me 2.2 hours here at seti to get the same amount of credits?
P.S: I know that folding is still in alpha.

And no special credits for Boinc whatsoever.

They are just there old points, not converted. And they will probably get lost, once they go public.

Hello again, now with a little bit more time!

The credit/points system @FAH and @Boinc is very different. Both is for itself coherent, but not yet compatible with the other.

In Folding@home a wu is now benchmarked with SSE2 disabled on a p4-2.8 GHz non-HT. How many days a wu took, daysPerWU, decides credit and deadlines after these formulas:
credit = 110 * daysPerWU
timeout = 20 * (daysPerWU) + 2 (time for resend of WU)
deadline = max(30* (daysPerWU) + 2,10) (time after that no credit will be granted)

IMHO these could be converted to Boinc-credits, but I as FAH will keep it's old client running, it will somehow have to be dealt with a kind of double score board. I don't know the data base traps layed out by this.

Just one more info for those interested:

There is a thread over @FAH in the open forum, that's discussing the Boinc issue.

It's quite constructive from both sides, and I hope it will stay this way.

Here it is.
You have to register for participating, but it's just for the seperate forum, not registering to the project itself.
