Like others who have posted here, I did not get my existing credits (some 8668 hours of CPU time) transferred to my new BOINC version of the SETI system. I DID ask it to transfer my existing account when I set up the BOINC account.

Now I have some 300 hours on my "new" BOINC account.

How can this be resolved?

Looks to me like they have transfered over. Your account lists 442 Classic work units and 8668 CPU hours. These will not be converted into Boinc credits, if that's what you are asking. Everyone starts out here at zero.

Happy Crunching :)

I have seen somewhere that the seti project has a plan to tansfer old credits to new credits (maybe...one day... but this is not sure). The only thing you can do for the moment is to combined old and new projects in a signature (see signature).

They are not going to transfer old credits to new credits. Not talking about it, not going to do it. There are a few people who want credits transfered but they seem to be in the minority. Everyone is starting over with BOINC. The SETI Classic contribution is shown on the account page. That should be enough.

As stated above NOT GONNA HAPPEN! The problem is that under Classic is was REALLY easy to cheat and YES some people did! Berkeley has NO IDEA how many, but they have reset the credits on several people over the years. That being the problem and Seti II(Boinc) being here the decision was made to have EVERYONE start over at zero and acknowledge your contributions to Classic with 2 lines in your stats, your total numbers of units completed, this will be updated after the final stats are compiled after the project closes, and the total amount of cpu time you used crunching.
They also decided to try and make Boinc much more security aware. They KNOW which units you download and that you, and only those that it was issued to, should be returning it. There are other checks but they do not need discussing in a public forum.
