At this URL: http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/stats.php
you can find this statement:
Data describing the users, teams, and computers participating in this project, and how much work each has done, is available as compressed XML files. The format is described here, and the files are here.

But if you click on the second "here" link (it is a link on the original page), you get only a message that:
You don't have permission to access /stats/ on this server.

So... I would like to access those compressed XML files so I can extract some statistics. What do I need to do? Or are they just "temporarily" disabled?

Hmm, nobody has an answer? Or did this scroll off the "most recent answer" list too quickly for anyone to see it?

In short you are PROBABLY not suppose to get them right now.

Currenlty the XML files are only 3 in total! They are in the stats directory, and basically are XML files for the WHOLE project. So the users file is 200MB+ Gzipped (nearly 1GB unzipped), and the team file is also nearly 100MB gzipped (cant remember the host file).

If BOINC Beta is a predictor, these files will be split into smaller files when the developers want us to have access. Then I assume they will make the directory unhidden for all.

For now they files are There... just you have to know the file names... and then want to take up HUGE amounts of bandwidth to suck them down and process. Personally I can see why they are hidden (I would hate 10000 users hitting the 200MB files every hour) and will be waiting til individual team and member stats are in XML files.

Looks like they are there now. Don't know if it's ALL of them, but at least I can SEE them. I do hope EVERYBODY won't grab them all at once, clogging the servers. I suggest [url=http://www.boincstats.com/]BOINC Stats<a> for checking stats/standings; I like their format and the "Search for user or team" link lets you avoid scrolling through the whole list.
