Unable to open .gz file with stuffit and/or macgzip. You guys sure don't make it easy for a mid-level Mac user who recently migrated from OS 9.2.2 to OS 10.3.8. The least you could provide is a "script" given that I'm making my iMac G5 available to you 24/24 - 7/7 and have already accumulated close to 9,000 hours! When you make it easier to use, I will again log in to SETI and make my Mac help you along. Doing a lot of beta testing for various companies and they tend to be more helpful than you guys; what a disappointment! Normand T. |

Hi, Aladdin. I'd suggest you revisit your StuffIt Expander and check it's filename-mapping settings. When you make it easier to use, I will again log in to SETI and make my Mac help you along. Doing a lot of beta testing for various companies and they tend to be more helpful than you guys; what a disappointment! You sound like a developer. You've installed the BSD Subsystem and the Developer's tools, and that you know how to use gunzip from the Terminal, right?? If you're really lazy, you can't get easier than downloading the BOINC Menubar, which does all the hard work for you. The *.zip will be extracted through the Finder's buddy app. |
