I'm new to BOINC, but have it installed and running on 4 computers (so far, he he he). One of the computers is a server with two 2.8 Xeon processors. I see that it is running on both processors, but total CPU usage is only 50%. On all my other machines it uses nearly 100% (high 90's). Any thoughts? Changing it's "priority" from low to normal doesn't seem to change anything. Is there a reason it would not use all cpu cycles available? I also notice that the web site seems to think my server has 4 processors, when it really only has 2. Could that be part of the problem?

Thanks to Tim (Captain Avatar) for my groovy Red Foxx avatar! |

It's not a problem, your Xeons are hyperthreaded. Set your preferences to use 4 cpus. |
