Spotted this today in my Boinc Mac OS X client log: 2005-03-28 06:03:32 [SETI@home] Sending request to scheduler: http://setiboincdata.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi 2005-03-28 06:03:32 [SETI@home] Scheduler RPC to http://setiboincdata.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi succeeded 2005-03-28 06:03:32 [SETI@home] Message from server: No work sent (won't finish in time) Computer on 26.3% of time, BOINC on 26.3% of that, Einstein gets 100.0% of that 2005-03-28 06:03:32 [SETI@home] No work from project 2005-03-28 06:03:32 [SETI@home] Deferring communication with project for 1 days, 9 hours, 35 minutes, and 59 seconds Two things are wrong: I do not and have never run Einstein work. Computer is on 100% (it runs a webserver) Anyone else seen this? Is the scheduler's user info corrupt? |

Your time stats got screwed up somehow. They will get back to normal eventually (weeks). You can also edit them in client_state.xml to get them back to something more realistic, be sure to exit the client before you do this. The bit of code involved here was programed by one of the einstien developers, it has since been changed to say 'project' just not updated yet. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |

Same problem here... Good to know "Einstein" really means "project." I've seen this for both Einstein and SETI not getting work. Oddly enough, I only have one SETI WU currently in crunching mode. I am quite sue it would finish another by the due date based on the real crunching time instead of SETI's overestimation of about 80%. Oh well. I don't care as long as the computer is busy crunching something. derekm Team MacAddict |

Well, I just let it time out (I had enough work to be going on with) and the scheduler has now started dishing out work. |

1 Please insert "return"s or some <br>s in your first post (It's stretching out the thread) 2 Are you running the BOINC Menubar? 3 Is BOINC up to date? |

1 It won't let me edit the post. 2 No, what's that? 3 Yes 4.19. Didn't make a difference. I tried resetting the project - no difference. ended up deleting client_state.xml, which seems to have worked but it means boinc thinks it's a new cpu. |
