ive got my connection gap set for ten days and the projects still only give one wu a day. my machine is a bit on the slow side but it can handle more then 4 wus a week. any reason why it does this. look at the sig very carefully ~boinc its not the credit or satisfaction its the screensavers~ S@h Berkeley's Staff Friends Club ©members |

Razorirr, From a look at your two hosts, one of them has 15 errors...showing. The other listed host (duplicate?) has no listed WUs, but has credit, so I'm guessing it is a detatch. These 15 listed errors would cause your maximum downloads per day to be reduced by a total of 15 (from max of 25 I believe). If you had additional errors not listed they could also reduce your max per day. Each good result you return multiplies your max download per day by two, and you have two of these showing. So in short: ....Non-validated result or overdue result = -1 max WUs per day. ....Good returned results = *2 max WUs per day (up to max of 25 per CPU). ....Servers also use your benchmark score to figure out max # your machine should be able to complete within "connect every __ days" time. |

If it's too low, you won't get work. Final Classic total: 11446 WU Classic CPU hours: 72,366 |

@ benher the second computer with the 3000 some odd credits is the one that i actually have for some reason when i reset my project it made the top one and it wont let me merge or delete it. i joined this project when it went public a year ago. i should have some where in the ball park of 175 results. i dont know what happened but i haven't had that many wus in that amount of time or atleast that i know of. and out of the six or seven ive had only the one that died when i detached today has went bad and didnt validate. plus this is happening across the projects too, not just seti. @randy. I have a little under five gigabytes left i'm going to be detached for a bit to play catch up with the other projects. they are way behind seti. Ill still check in though ~boinc its not the credit or satisfaction its the screensavers~ S@h Berkeley's Staff Friends Club ©members |

Ill still check in though > OK. If your disk allocation is large enough (see Disk and Memory Usage in General Preferences in your Seti Account), perhaps your BOINC installation is FUBAR'd. I notice that the last 3 results from your computer indicate you use BOINC 4.26. This is not really an 'approved' version. The one approved for General Release is 4.25. I would suggest an uninstall of BOINC, followed by an install of v4.25. Double check your Disk and Memory Usage allocation to verify it's valid. Also, unless you are using dial-up or otherwise restricting network access, set your 'connect every x days' value to somewhere between 1 and 4 days (I run mine at 2 days. With multiple projects, I have yet to run out of work.). Don't forget to do a project update after changing preferences. |
