It looks like the number of users with credit at Einstein@Home will pass that of ClimatePrediction.Net within a few days--Einstein@Home will then take 2nd place as the most popular BOINC project (after SETI), bumping ClimatePrediction.Net from 2nd to 3rd. As of right now: (1) SETI@Home : 87,606 (2) ClimatePrediction.net: 35,813 (3) Einstein@Home : 30,998 (4) Predictor@Home : 13,200 From http://www.boincsynergy.com/stats/index.php www.onlinetasklist.com |

If you rank by RAC however: (1) ClimatePrediction.net: 4,410,948 (2) SETI@Home : 4,075,792 (3) Einstein@Home : 2,655,942 (4) Predictor@Home : 401,735 Interesting... climateprediction has the higher RAC, even though it only has 66,000 hosts, compared to seti's 207,000 hosts. www.onlinetasklist.com |

CPDN grants credit at a fixed rate per trickle. Often when a model is returned the normal BOINC credit mechanisim is also triggered resulting in double credit. There is a server side process that fixes the total credit, however the RAC is not corrected. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |
