The heads-up option for the graphics/screensaver does that work for me. I've tested this across 3 computers. All you see is the progress bar unless you use the graphics windows and drag the edges all the way to the top and bottom of the screen. Its like there is too much space being apportioned between the information area at the top and the bottom of the screen.

I've tried shutting BOINC down and restarting as this cured some draw errors I had on one system when I updated my preferences, but to no avail.
