Message 84750 - Posted: 10 Mar 2005, 17:50:43 UTC

Some time ago it was reported that a fault had been found in the file deletion routines, and that it had been corrected. I had noted then that no old results had been deleted from my account for some time, and I now report that none have been deleted since. My old results go back to early December. Has no-one noticed that this clutter is still clogging up the database?

Only December? I still have results from July. I haven't noticed anything deleted either.

File_deleter is responsible for deleting all wu & result-files for "done" wu from upload/download-directory, and apparently had a bug earlier.

Db_purger on the other hand should normally run 7 days after file_deleter have done it's job, and archieves and deletes wu/results from the BOINC database.
The db_purger have AFAIK not run since upgraded to the new db-server, not sure on why but it can be for testing-purposes to make sure everything is working as it should with the new server.

I have one result from July, and one from August, both pending, and I guess far from being deleted.
