I've had the same or similar problem. My machine's out of work.

Messages for me are:
Started upload of xxxxx
Temporarily failed upload of xxxxx
Backing off x hours ...

BTW, I've tried to force the uploads with the right-click and they still fail.

They have been having trouble with the data server as indicated by your messages.

Congratulations. I've been having over a 99% no response rate with the servers for a few weeks now.

Redundancy and Load Balancing folks! How many times do I have to say this!?

As has been stated before, if there is not any work that will further the science of this project, no work will be issued for this project. We encourage everyone to attach to several <a>projects[/url].

It's not that simple. One of my computers has been trying for hours to get more work but keeps failing. The status page is all green and says there are over 500,000 works units ready for download.

To give the computer something to do, I started up SETI Classic and it was able to download work immediately.

Apparently, some aspect of the BOINC infrastructure is simply not as ROBUST as the SETI Classic system. This has happened a number of times - BOINC has problems but I can upload/download with the Classic program easily. And they expect to switch over to BOINC completely within a month?

my unit wont connect to the server to get more work units . This has been happening for two days now.
4/10/2005 7:27:42 AM|SETI@home|Sending request to scheduler: http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi
4/10/2005 7:27:44 AM|SETI@home|Scheduler RPC to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi succeeded
all the done work units were sent, but it will not download any more.

the only way ive found to fix this problem is to 'detach from project' and answer yes to 'are you sure', then 'attach new project',type in the same project you just detached from and the downloading begins!

from what i can see this statement is not true:
As has been stated before, if there is not any work that will further the science of this project, no work will be issued for this project. We encourage everyone to attach to several projects.

it seams the only reason to attach to several projects is so you dont notice your computer being idle on the project you want it to run.
