I can't find on the new WEB page any mention of GUI programs. I just installed SETITracker and found it works also for other BOINC-based programs such as climateprediction.net. Here is a copy of a mail exchange with its developers:

Well we ourselves dont have any testing grounds for other BOINC based Projects!
So we cudnt figure out!

We would do that ourselves and see what happens!

You can find all sorts of 3rd-party BOINC add-ons at http://www.boinc.dk/.
