I'm on dial-up and I've currently got BOINC for windows running on startup with the -min option. What would be good is another option that disables BOINC's network access *before* it tries to access the network. At the moment it hangs for a few minutes while it tries to access the servers. It's a rather annoying process to have to double click the icon and as fast as possible disable the network access before it hangs again.
