Personal background
Hey! I am a 14 years old boy and i am from Austria. My hobbies are playing computergames, reading and i have got an amateur telescope. The first time i heard from the Program BOINC was on the german forum for astronomy and astrophysics called Astronews. I am a huge science-fan and i want to become a real astrophysicist. The puple in my class dont believe me that i know so much about our universe, our galaxy and some planets and a lot of my friends are not that much interested in something like that and that is really funny. But the not so funny thing is: I am handicapped! I am sitting in a wheelchair since I was 6. I am not hardly handicapped "just" my whole right side is paralysed but my mind is clear. I can: speak, eat, go to a normal school and I can walk a little bit but the mostly part of the time i am sitting in my wheelchair. I just finished reading a physicalbook with 450 pages. It is really hard to say that. But I am optimistic that I become a astrophysicist. And just look at Stephen Hawking! He is completly paralysed and he is the most famous scientists of our time. I thought people like users from seti@home are interested in my story and could understand me. Thank you!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am running: Rosetta@home, Milkyway@home, Einstein@home and SETI@home. SETI@home is my favourite because it is very exciting to search for extraterrestrial intelligence which is maybe interrestred in a conversation to us.

It is there ... maybe in the Milky Way or maybe in the Andromeda Galaxy but IT IS THERE! Look at Gliese 581d, or Kepler 22b ... both of them are very suspicious and there are more! And maybe there are some intelligent Aliens who wanna contact us. Seti@home is a huge program for people all over the world and I am very optimistic that one of them catches a signal from another species within the next 20 years. Thank you!
