Personal background
I am a retired Trucker, Owner/Operator for over 35 years and 4 million miles of smiles. I now live in a condo on a small lake in Spanaway, Wa. a few miles from the Puget Sound and Sea/Tac area. I was a member of the Satern Society when I was on the road and always admired the SETI program and supported as I could then. I was injured on the job in 2001 and am now living on a Pention along with SSD and also a Disabled Veteran being a Marine since 1966. Semper Fi! Of course I am a swaggering Patriot and support mostly VA Programs now but I will see what I can do to help you folks out too. My main Hobbies now are 'N' gage model railroading and modeling in general; Diarama's and the like. I broke my back trucking so I am sort of homebound now and of course finances are fixed and limited. And I'm sure I need not rant about the State of the Union and the Economy now. Seems we're under seige again by the radical left... God Help Us and SETI!!!! I am old school and not computer friendly but I would love it if these programs wpould allow me to listen and look at radio waves from space right???
It would be an Honor! And you may use as much as my lil ol computin machine can give you,Okay?
As I said I am not computer savey so I may need a little coaching at 1st in order to use the system you offer for monitering or do you just need my CPU?
Whatever to whomever, And God Bless America and the Globe we share.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am running SETI at home because I believe in Extraterrestial Life and that more then likely we have had 1st contact a few hundred thousand years ago. Like most life optimists I am in touch with my 'higher power' and further believe that there is no 'missing link' here on Earth. We (homo-sapien intelegent- beings)are Extraestial in Origin our own selves. I also believe we are visited routinely by other allien intelegent beings of the Extraestrial kind. We simply
in my opinion can not look to the heavens on a clear moonless night and think
in any way shape or form are we alone. Of course we don't know the whole story yet or may never know. But at 64 years old I believe we will have more contact throgh the SETI Program in my lifetime and I am proud to serve SETI in any way I can. I learned about this program from the show you ran on National Geo or was it the Science Channel? Anyway that series on the Universe and the SETI Program and through that I am sure you see now you nailed if folks! I am here and if I saw it, everybody saw it man cause I am way down on the totem pole of information these days kids! (In truth I am pretty much up-to-date on most stuff. Hehehe!;))
