Personal background
I was born in Zimbabwe, but my family movedto the UK when I was 3. I am currently living in Manchester with my fiancee Pamela. I'm a full-time mature student ay Salford University.

I started contributing to SETI@Home back in March 1999 after hearing about it on the radio, and I joined the (now defunct) Vital Online group when I joined the company in June 2000.

A few years' hiatus, and I'm back to resurrect my list!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
To answer the topics in order:
1: Yes I do think extraterrestrial life exists, and I believe it is quite arrogant to assume that we are alone in the universe.

2: I think it's a good idea to put a message out there. After all, isn't it just the same as putting up a Home Page? You wont find anything in common with anyone else unless you stand up and be counted.

3: I run SETI@home because it's always nice to feel part of something global, and to know that your result might be THE result is quite an attractive prospect!
