Profile: Volvi

Personal background
Well my name is Volvi, and yes that's my real name. Who am I? well maybe I am one of those "that walks amongst you", to learn more of you, to see if you are ready yet for 'contact'. Sadly the more I see of Human behaviour worldwide, you are not ready yet. You have yet one more major worldwide conflict coming. Perhaps after that, you may be ready. Perhaps.

Or on the other hand I may be what you Humans call a "fruitcake". Either way it makes little difference.

The Babylon 5 series by JMS, was truly an intelligent work. I reccomend it be taught and studied in your schools.

Anyway, whilst being 'earthbound' I may be contacted on volvi@optushome.com.au
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do you think extraterrestrial life exists?

If I were to take you to any beach, with miles of sand in either direction, and I would pick up a handfull of sand, then empty my hand, then blow off all the sand till there is but one particle of sand remaining. I would then tell you this particle represents your planet Earth, then blow it back gently on the shore and then would tell you that particle of sand amongst all the sand on the shore is relative to the amount of planets in the Universe. Would you then bother asking me if extraterrestrial life exists?

When and how will humans discover it?

Only when they are ready for it.

What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?

Benefit, by knowing you are not alone. Danger, hey you never know who you are going to run into.

Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find?

Well for the moment, that's the limit of your technology, so why not?

If so, what information should we send?

Something simple in morse.

Why do you run SETI@home?

ET want go home.

What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?

The only 'active' project, there should be alot more.
Try 'Telepathic' communication.
