Hello fellow Earthlings, Aliens, and the like. My name is Chris and I finally made SETI User of the Day on 09AUG07. Super Cool!!!
Currently I work for a Major Airline and travel all over the world, leaving my computer at home crunching numbers. I'm into Aviation, Computers, Motorcycles, Traveling, and Scuba Diving. I maintain a website of notes and papers I wrote while I was in college. | Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| Extraterrestrial seems like such a limiting term. After all, were we not ourselves once particles floating around in space that coalesed on this planet we call Earth? Excluding humans, yes I do believe that there is intelligent life out there. I don't kow when we will finally discover it, but I hope it's during my lifetime. With the way humans are interacting with each other now, I really don't see any drawbacks to Alien contact. Transmitting a beacon would make sense, since we are a sentient species with the technological know-how. I run SETI@home because I like being apart of something that has the potential to change the history of not only this planet, but others. Plus I like the fact that I can utilize the full power of my computer processor. I'm amazed that there are over 5 million registered users of SETI@home. With this level of International cooperation, anything is possible. |
