Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@Home because the more computational power the project has, the more money they save and the more efficient they are. I personally believe that the Universe is simply too large for us to be entirely alone and that being more educated about the Universe we live in might perhaps better prepare us for long term survival as a species.
