Personal background
I'm a 40 year-old male who has been disabled for a few years now. Not being able to work has been tough on me mentally. I've just recently became aware of the BOINC projects while watching the Science channel on T.V. and have decided to try this program out. I'm hoping to gain some sense of self-worth by allowing my resources to contribute a little to society, even if I can't personally. We'll see how it goes.

As a newbie to this project, I know very little about how my computer helps and what effects it's effectiveness. I know I am getting several computation errors and I have been unable to determine what the cause is. I've tried looking up information on different sites to explain it, but to no avail. Anyone with information or recommendations to help resolve this issue is welcomed to message me. It would be greatly appreciated.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm running SETI because I feel there is a great possibility that other life exists out there somewhere. I'm not a big alien fanatic or anything, but it stands to reason, with all the different planetarium systems out there that the possibility for intelligent life is not a stretch of the imagination.
